On 3/3/26 Tues 11:45am, at TN State Library and Archives, Dr. Ming Wang, a Harvard & MIT graduate (MD, magna cum laude) and one of the few laser eye surgeons in the world today who holds a PhD in laser physics, will present a talk “The Eye Convinced Me There’s A God”. The film “Sight” (FREE link: sight.drmingwang.com) is based on Dr. Wang’s autobiography “From Darkness to Sight”, and his faith journey is also featured in the award-winning Christian film “God’s Not Dead”. For info about the 3/3 talk:
In this presentation, Dr. Wang will tell the story how he, just like the student in the film “Sight” and “God’s Not Dead”, came to America as a staunch atheist, and believed that science will save mankind. Fascinatingly, it was in the study of the science of human eye, where he discovered the powerful clue and evidence for the existence of a creator! Dr. Wang will talk about the complexity of the human eye, from visual signal capturing, processing to interpretation, and how the science has led Dr. Wang to God! And how life has taught him the Creator is Jesus Christ!
Angel Studios’ award-winning film “Sight” (FREE link: sight.drmingwang.com), is based on my autobiography From Darkness to Sight, and tells the story of invention of amniotic membrane contact lens, a technology that has transformed the world and givenvision back to millions.

The film shows my attempts to restore the eyesight of Kajal, a five-year-old Indian orphan whose stepmother intentionally and maliciously blinded her by pouring sulfuric acid into Kajal’s eyes, in the belief that a blind “orphan” singer begging on the streets brings in more money. I ask you, who is truly blind here? Kajal or her stepmother? But I believe in an all-seeing, merciful God, who led the Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration to find Kajal and bring her to America.

Angel Studios, the distributor of the film “Sight” (FREE link: sight.drmingwang.com), as well as many other Christian film with inspiring stories that “amplify light” (the company’s motto) went IPO on New York Stock Exchange on 9/11/25. Dr. Ming Wang, Harvard & MIT (MD, magna cum laude); PhD (laser physics), Director of Wang Vision Institute and the subject of the movie “Sight” went to New York and joined the Angel team and celebrated this milestone.
“Angel Studios represents a visionary and bold venture to offer American families films and entertainment that is family-friendly, inspirational and faith-based. Today’s Hollywood is filled with films that are filled with violence, sex and drugs, so Angel Studios offers powerful alternative, something American families truly need.” Dr. Wang said.
